Reported Crop Circles for the State of Indiana -

Greenfield, Hancock County (November 8, 1978)

Two women observe two intensely bright white BOL’s and one red BOL for about 12 minutes hovering above the ground about 50 feet in the air about 9:00 p.m. The next day, a ‘perfect circle’ 44’ in diameter was discovered in the field underneath where they observed the lights. The five foot high grass/weeds were ‘woven together’ and unbroken; bent six inches off the ground.  Also found nearby was a “path with similar characteristics”, but that “began and ended nowhere”. The surrounding vegetation was undisturbed. The women report that the power went off around 7 p.m. for about 15 minutes, and that the power was intermittent for about a half an hour. They did call the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department who didn’t arrive in time to see the lights, and were skeptical the incident occurred as the women told it; they suspected the women had made the circle, and they questioned them as to how the women had done it.
